Wood is your classic kitchen countertop material in its many forms dark, light, plain and patterned there is something for every wood lovers taste. Many kitchen companies have really started pushing wood kitchen countertops as the demand grows for them. A wood kitchen worktop can create a great affect in a new kitchen. Dark wood works exceedinly well with light coloured units. Though I am a big fan of wood kitchen countertops I am not a fan of the continuous maintenance of this wonderful material.
